The growing trend for credible content online

We are bombarded by information from millions of sources every day. It’s now easy to find answers, news and people. But how can you trust what you find?

Google responded with Knol – a knowledge base that displays a profile of the author next to all content.

Experts Exchange and Boxes and Arrows measure the credibility associated with authors based on usage data.

Another recent launch is NewsCred – a social bookmarking site based on the credibility not popularity of articles.

The focus online has shifted. It’s not now just content that matters – it’s credibile content.
